Mount Pleasant, SC—Today, the campaign for Democrat Mac Deford released his first round of endorsements from diverse leaders and organizations across the Lowcountry and beyond. These endorsements reflect the wide-ranging support Deford has received and reflect his widespread appeal to a diverse electorate.

The International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Iron Workers Union, the parent group of Ironworkers 846, has a current membership of 140,000 with 15,000 apprentices. Members of this union have worked on nearly every major construction project—the Golden Gate Bridge, the Sears Tower, the World Trade Center, and the World Trade Center recovery effort, to name a few.

Mac Deford is a U.S. Coast Guard veteran and attorney, having served as in-house counsel for the Town of Mount Pleasant and General Counsel for the Town of Hilton Head Island.
